comments Known from Antipodes Islands, and to the Magellanic region of the south Atlantic. In this vast territory, it has one of the widest depth distribution of 4 - 5 m (questionable?) to at least 400m, with most captures in the 1000 - 3000 m range, suggesting it is probably not a single species (Ref. 9).
