comments Known from Yangtze River (Refs. 1394, 1522) and extends upriver to Yichang. This is the only known freshwater stock (Ref. 81021). Reported as Neophocaena phocaenoides sunameri in Liaodong Wan and as Neophocaena phocaenoides asiaeorientalis in Poyang Hu, Dongting Hu, and their tributaries in Gan Jiang and the Xiang Jiang (Ref. 1522). Common length range: 137.6 to 150.1 cm, male; 132.2 to 136.7 cm, female. Common weight: 43600 g (Ref. 75924). C: Refs. 1522, 1394, 75924, 81021; M: Ref. 1394.
