Short description Morphology

Trunk with rounded posterior margin, anterior slightly tapered. First trunk segment with small projections of anterolateral margins on tergal plate, slightly denticulate at anterior margin. Thin sculptured cuticle across anterior margin of episternal plates. Sternal plates 3 to 11 with buttress-like reinforcement between lateral pachycycli; anterior half of sternal plates 4 to 11 with 1 to 3 parallel cuticular ridges. Lateral setae absent on segment 12; with lateral bulbous projections on terminal tergal plate. Males with 3 pairs of penile spines at terminal sternal plates anterolateral margins, sensory spot on segment 12 tergal plate, adhesive tubes on segment 4 sternal plates, and slightly narrower sternal width (Ref. 1409).
