Data were collected in a 6x8km area of almost exclusively intertidal mudflats (20.6714°-20.7772° N, 58.6366°-58.7122° E). A large grid of 440 stations was sampled in 2012; within that location, a smaller grid size of 80 was also sampled in the same year. The three succeeding years followed the small grid sampling size, with 73, 75 and 72 stations sampled in 2013, 2014 and 2015 respectively. Sampling taken during the cold months of November and December: 7 Nov-15 Dec 2012, 5-20 Dec 2013, 7 Nov-15 Dec 2014, and 6-18 Nov 2015. Four sediment samples per station were taken within a square meter, with a 15cm diameter corer to a depth of 20cm and sieved over a 1mm mesh. Quantitative data extracted from Tab.1. |
