Remarks During this time also, large numbers of small COTs (3-6 cm in diameter) were observed. Supporting Chesher's assumption that COT larvae, like many marine invertebrates, can seek out adults and settle near them. Either larvae are attracted to feeding adults or areas of feeding aduls permit high survival of young COTs.
