Remarks Samples were collected using a 1 m^2 MOCNESS sampler equipped with 9 nets of 333 pm nylon mesh netting, towed at speeds of about 1.5 knots. In the areas investigated around the Barents Sea, Thysanoessa longicaudata was described as the dominant species. Its abundance is strongly positiely correlated with salinity and temperature, suggesting a close connection with Atlantic Water.
